To eradicate period poverty both within the US and globally through education, advocacy, and period product drives.
Description
NFBPWC has pioneered a new initiative to tackle period poverty in the United States and abroad through education and advocacy campaigns. We will be actively supporting legislation that addresses period poverty and, within the US, we will be pushing for the eradication of additional taxes placed on menstrual products.
In addition, NFBPWC is promoting Period Product Drives that aims to collect and distribute menstrual hygiene products to those in need in our local communities. By hosting a drive, you'll be contributing directly to alleviating period poverty and promoting menstrual health and hygiene and increasing awareness in your community.

The Intersection of Period Poverty and Women in Business and Professions
Period poverty refers to the lack of access to menstrual products, menstrual education, and proper sanitation facilities. Period poverty is an issue affecting millions of women around the world. This topic has not been as prevalent in discussions among business and professional women, yet it has a significant impact on women's lives, extending into the workplace.
